For this family I painted each of their children when they turned 4 years old. It was over a 6-year period that I made the compositions and backgrounds harmonious while coloring them differently. This portrait was actually the last of these three little girl oil portraits, so what the mother says sums them all up:
“I always have to stop to look at my portraits as if it were the first time. It is mesmerizing. I feel a little nostalgic when I see how quickly they are maturing. I don’t realize it until I look at their paintings and see my beautiful babies. The experience of getting a portrait done was very nice too. Jessica is a very pleasant and patient person. She definitely aims to please. Her portraits are timeless and priceless. They mysteriously capture the children’s personalities. The girls love their portraits too. I think they realize how special and important they are to us, and I think their children and grandchildren will look at these paintings with great admiration and want the same for themselves.”
